CRUISE CONTROL GRAPHICS UPDATE

There is a misprint regarding CRUISE CONTROL GRAPHICS on the new 1985 model digital dash display in the following manuals:

1) Item 10 (THE SET SPEED INDICATOR) is not equipped on any 1985 vehicle produced for the U.S. DOMESTIC MARKET (See Figure 1).


2) Some 1985 MY EARLY PRODUCTION vehicles equipped with digital dash displays the word "CRUISE" illuminated when the cruise control system is turned on and have the word "SET" illuminated when the set button is depressed.





3) All current production 1985 MY vehicles (AFTER VIN'S LISTED BELOW) equipped with digital dash displays DO NOT have the "SET SPEED INDICATOR", "CRUISE", or "SET" illuminated when the cruise control system is activated (See Figure 2). These features have been dropped from production.

Replacement parts WILL NOT have these functions. DO NOT replace a digital dash unit because the "SET SPEED INDICATOR", "CRUISE", or "SET" displays do not work.


Warranty claims for the replacement of a digital dash unit because of an inoperative "SET SPEED INDICATOR", "CRUISE", or "SET" illumination should not be submitted.


FUEL LID OPENER

Please be advised that on PAGE 57 of the 1985 SEDAN/STATION WAGON OWNER'S MANUAL, issued in July of 1984, THE FUEL LID OPENER SECTION incorrectly mentions an access hole in the TRUNK (SEDAN) / LUGGAGE AREA (STATION WAGON) this access hole is not found on either vehicle.


The October 1984 printing of the 1985 STATION WAGON/SEDAN OWNER'S MANUAL, and reprintings of the '85MY SERVICE MANUAL will reflect corrections for both of these items.
