Initial Inspection


Before performing the troubleshooting procedure, ensure electrical connectors, air and vacuum hoses are connected properly.
Before troubleshooting system, check for proper connection of hoses and connectors, and check parts and wiring for damage. Be sure ignition switch is off before replacing parts, and reconnect hoses and connectors after replacement.

Check for leaking gasket(s), abnormal float level, loose screws or hold-down bolts, fuel filter for clogging, linkage binding, air filter, and such.

When performing a check with vacuum switch hose disconnected and engine running, plug hose. After completing repairs, check system again from beginning for additional problems caused while making repairs.
