Ignition Timing

Adjusting Distributor:

1. Warm up engine.
2. Disconnect vacuum advance hose.
3. Hook up timing light, start engine and check timing.
4. If adjustment is needed, loosen 6mm distributor plate mounting bolts.
5. Turn distributor clockwise to advance timing and counterclockwise to retard timing.
6. When adjustment is complete, tighten bolts and recheck timing.
7. Turn off engine and reconnect and vacuum hose.


Ignition Timing (BTDC): 8° @ 700 rpm
