TIMING PROCEDURE
Distributor Vacuum Hose:
1. Warm up engine.
2. Disconnect and plug distributor vacuum hose(s). On turbocharged vehicles, disconnect black connector (2-pole) between distributor and knock control unit.
3. Hook up timing light, start engine and check timing.
4. If adjustment is needed, loosen 6mm distributor plate mounting bolts.
5. Turn distributor clockwise to advance timing and counterclockwise to retard timing.
6. When adjustment is complete, tighten bolts and recheck timing.
Ignition Timing (BTDC):
M/T: 25°/700 rpm
A/T: 25°/800 rpm
