Camber
Fig. 1 Caster & camber measurement:
Ensure tires are properly inflated prior to checking or adjusting camber angles.
FRONT
Front camber angles are not adjustable, however, the following procedure may be used to ensure camber is within specifications.
1. Raise front of vehicle and position turning radius gauges under front wheels, then lower vehicle.
2. Install suitable adapter and gauge into center of wheel and measure camber angle, Fig. 1.
3. If camber is not within specifications, inspect suspension components for damage and repair as necessary, then recheck.
REAR
Rear camber angle can be adjusted using the following procedure:
1. Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
Fig. 2 Outer arm mounting bolts:
2. Remove lower end of shock absorber to inner arm attaching bolt, then loosen outer arm mounting bolts, Fig. 2.
Fig. 3 Changing relative angle between inner & outer arms:
3. If camber angle is excessive in positive direction, use a suitable piece of wood as a lever and change angle as necessary so that angle formed by inner arm and outer arm centerlines increases, Fig. 3.
4. If camber angle is excessive in negative direction, use a suitable piece of wood as a lever and change angle as necessary so that angle formed by inner arm and outer arm centerlines decreases, Fig. 3.
5. Install shock absorber and tighten loosened bolts.
