Section E: Component Replacement

1. Replace the inner arms in pairs (L&R) in accordance with the applicable Subaru Service Manual even if penetration (perforation) and/or dent is observed in one side of the inner arm only.

2. Prior to replacing any components, make sure that the brake line connection to the wheel cylinder, the brake adjuster, and wheel cylinder bleeder screw can be loosened and are serviceable. THE ORIGINAL BRAKE ASSEMBLY IS TO BE RE-USED WHEN THESE 3 ITEMS ARE FOUND TO BE SERVICEABLE. Brake assemblies must be replaced in pairs (L&R), in the event original brake assemblies are non-serviceable. Additional brake pipes are available separately, in the event an inner arm is not replaced.

3. Brake linings are not part of this campaign, except as outlined in "2" above.

4. Rear shock absorbers are not part of this campaign.

5. If replacement of the brake assembly becomes necessary, new bearings must be packed with the grease.
