FOGLIGHTS
SUBJECT: FOGLIGHT MOUNTING LOCATION CHANGE
Please be aware that a change has been made in the 1986 XT Coupe front bumper which affects the mounting location of Genuine SOA Foglights.
The original mounting location under the bumper had an OEM bolt installed into a welded nut which provided a foglight mounting location.
This hole, bolt, and welded nut are eliminated on 1986 XT Coupe front bumpers.

It is recommended to use the next two (2) corresponding inboard bolt locations which will accept the foglights (See Figure 1). Should local or state regulations require it, the old (1985) mounting location may be used if holes are drilled in the bumper. Mounting hardware will be included in the foglight kits (SOA 385J102 Clear, SOA 385J105 Amber), to accommodate this alternate mounting location.
