Part 3 of 3

Fig. 3c Automatic level control system troubleshooting chart (Part 3 of 3):

A2-AIR LINE LEAK

Check air tubes and joints in air line for leakage. Check compressor assembly and air discharge solenoid valve seat for leakage.

A3-PRESSURE SWITCH

Check pressure switch for proper operating pressure. Pressure should be 137 psi with switch ``Off'' or 109 psi with switch ``On.''

A5-AIR TANK LEAKAGE

Remove air tank assembly, then apply compressed air to tank by connecting suitable a 12 volt source to tank solenoid valve and compressor relay. Place tank assembly in water, then check for leakage.

A6-VEHICLE HEIGHT SENSOR

Compress and extend from or rear suspension assembly, then check for continuity between suspension assembly harness terminals, Fig. 6. Continuity should be as described, Fig. 7.

A7-LEAKAGE SOLENOID VALVE

With compressed air applied to front or rear suspension system, disconnect air pipe from air joint furthest from suspension assembly, using tool No. 926520000, then check for leakage at assembly and solenoid valve.

A9-CLOGGED AIR LINE

Check for foreign material or twisted pipes and repair as necessary.

A10-COMPRESSOR RELAY

Connect a suitable 12 volt source to solenoid valve, then apply compressed air and check that air passes through solenoid. If air does not pass through valve, replace.

A13-ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT

When checking circuit, disconnect component from circuit and check for continuity. Also, check for proper grounding.
