SUBJECT: ACCESSORY AIR CONDITIONING (S0A332A106) INSTALLATION ON 4 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (4EAT) VEHICLES
You may encounter an early production 87-1/2 GL XT with 4 speed automatic transmission vehicle with the A/C cut relay harness missing a shorting loop. This will prevent the accessory air conditioning system from working.
The affected vehicles are:
Initial production 87-1/2 GL XT vehicles through VIN Numbers JF1AX432*HC314266 JF1AX442*HC314266
Refer to the illustration to correct this condition. The part required is a 3M Scotch Loc #860.
