Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

Fuel Tank Removal:

1. Remove fuel filler cap and drain fuel from tank into a suitable container.
2. Remove fuel pipe protector.
3. Remove clamp and remove fuel filler hose from fill pipe.
4. Loosen clamps and remove fuel delivery, return and evaporative hoses from fuel tank.

Fuel Tank Removal:

5. Support fuel tank and remove six mounting screws.
6. Partially lower tank from vehicle.
7. Disconnect tank electrical connectors.
8. Loosen retaining clips and remove evaporation from from tank.
9. Remove tank from vehicle.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
