Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

RELEASE FUEL PRESSURE
1. Remove fuel pump fuse.
2. Start the engine and run it until it stalls.
3. After the engine stalls, crank it for five (5) more seconds.
4. Turn the key "OFF".
5. Reinstall fuel pump fuse.

Intake Manifold:

REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR
^ Use the illustration as a guide to fuel injector removal and installation.
^ Always use new injector seals and O-rings.
^ Inspect all hoses, clamps and insulators for damage.
^ After reassembly, connect the test mode connectors, turn the key to the ON position and check for fuel leaks.
