SUBJECT: 1988 PANASONIC "O" RING MODIFICATION

Two different types of "O" Rings can be found in part number SOA438A446 Replacement "O" Ring Set, NBR (standard) and Flourine (high temperature).

FIGURE 1:

The Flourine (high temperature) "O" Rings are used for both ends of the discharge hose and the compressor end of the suction hose. The other eight "O" Rings provided in the set are of the NBR (standard) type. See figure 1.

CAUTION: THE NBR "O" RING CANNOT BE USED IN PLACE OF A FLOURINE TYPE RING OR THE SYSTEM MAY SUFFER A SERIOUS DURABILITY LOSS.
NOTE: THERE IS NO VISUAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NBR TYPE AND FLOURINE TYPE "O" RING
