SUBJECT: CLUTCH CABLE ADJUSTMENT - REVISED PROCEDURE
To ensure proper operation of the clutch, the following revised procedure for clutch cable free play inspection and adjustment on vehicles with a Hill Holder should be followed:

Inspection of Free Play:

To get an accurate measurement of free play, it is necessary to release any load on the clutch release fork transmitted through the Hill Holder cable. To make free play measurements:

1. Open the hood and remove the spare tire.
2. Release the Hill Holder cable pressure from the release fork by manually shifting the pressure hold valve lever using a screw driver or drift.
3. Measure the free play of the clutch release fork. Keep the pressure of the Hill Holder cable released.
