APPLICABILITY:
1988 MY SUBARU VEHICLES ALLOCATED FROM BOAT SHIPMENTS THROUGH # 356 CATTLEYA ACE.

SUBJECT:
OWNER'S MANUAL CORRECTION PHASE II IMPLEMENTATION

The Phase II implementation of this product campaign is now in progress. The information and materials provided in this supplement will allow you to complete this campaign for all affected vehicles.

Vehicles Involved
All 1988 MY Subaru vehicles from boat shipments through # 356, Cattleya Ace. All of the vehicles listed on the computer printout provided with this supplement (and the May 23, 1988 bulletin) are affected. All vehicles listed which do not indicate an owner's name and address are considered inventory vehicles and must be corrected by the dealer.

Owner Notification
All listed owners will receive notification and the appropriate insert direct from SOA.

Dealer Campaign Responsibility
All owners' manuals of vehicles listed in inventory on the computer printout provided, must be corrected by the dealer prior to sale. Owners of vehicles recently sold from your inventory must be contacted by the dealer and arrangements made to update the owners' manuals of those vehicles.

Parts Information
Provided at no cost with this bulletin are inserts for each inventory vehicle listed on the computer printout. The inserts are specific to the type of vehicle so care must be exercised to assure their proper placement in the owner's manual. Only one insert per vehicle is available so, please do not waste or misuse the inserts.

SUBJECT: PRODUCT CAMPAIGN WZY-32 - OWNER-S MANUAL CORRECTION

Please review the attached supplement to the original bulletin for campaign WZY-37. We ask that you pay particular attention to the Dealer Campaign Responsibility Section of this Phase II implementation.

A printout is enclosed which lists your affected inventory as of July 15, 1988. This printout groups the inventory by body styles (1,2,3,4,7 and 8). The correct page designations for each of these body styles is as follows:

Body Style 1 - Hatchback Update Page "F"
Body Style 2 - 4-Door Update Page "A"
Body Style 3 - XT Coupe Update Page "B"
Body Style 4 - Station Wagon Update Page "A"
Body Style 7 - Justy Update Page "G"
Body Style 8 - 3-Door Update Page "A"

Please be sure that the person you designate to correct the affected owners Manuals has this information.
