APPLICABILITY ALL SPI L-SERIES AND LOYALE

SUBJECT: MODIFIED PCV SYSTEM


If you receive a customer complaint of a SPI vehicle emitting white smoke during steep right turn driving conditions, the PCV modification kit P/N 11813AA010 should be installed as follows:

NOTE: THIS MODIFICATION HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN PRODUCTION SINCE 4/91, STARTING WITH VINS M*209520 AND M*417055.

1. INSTALLATION

Figure 1:

Please make sure that the following four parts are contained in the package:

1. Connector (Color: Blue)
2. Connector (Color: Black)
3. Plug
4. Hose

Figure 2:

2. Remove and discard Connector A, Connector B, Hose C, and Connector D. Retain hose clamps for reuse. Refer to Figure 2.

Figure 3:

3. Install the modified parts to the vehicle as illustrated in Figure 3.


CAUTION: The Blue and Black Connectors are not interchangeable. The Blue Connector contains an orifice.
