APPLICABILITY
ALL LEGACY MODELS EQUIPPED WITH ANTI-LOCK BRAKES
SUBJECT:
SECONDARY SIDE BLEEDING OF A.B.S. HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
When performing secondary side bleeding of the A.B.S. Hydraulic Control Unit, make certain you are referencing the connector (F9) at the control unit correctly.
The locking claw at the forward part of the large connector should be at the top or 12 o'clock position. This will properly locate pins 1, 2, 11, and 12 which are used during the bleeding process. See diagram. If connector F9 is not referenced correctly, pin 10, which is not used, may be mistaken for one of the pins used in the bleeding process.
