Door Opening - Application of Anti-Chip Protective Film

SUBJECT: APPLICATION OF PAINT PROTECTIVE FILM - DOOR OPENING
Should it be necessary to replace the anti-chip protective film on the "B" pillars of Legacy vehicles, the following procedure will ensure a proper reinstallation.
Parts required:
RH Protective Film: P/N 64780AA600
LH Protective Film: P/N 64780AA610 Adhesive Remover
1. Peel the old film off slowly so as to not damage the paint.
2. Clean all dirt and remaining adhesive from the area.
3. Remove the backing sheet from the inner side only.
4. Align the film with the lower "B" pillar trim and sill cover rear edge.
5. Stick the film to the body by applying even pressure starting at the lower and inner edges and working out. Peel off the rest of the backing sheet and continue pressing the film to the body.
Small air bubbles can be eliminated by sticking a pin in the center of the bubble and forcing the air out through the hole.
