NOTE: This noise may be especially noticeable while driving on rough roads.
The part number for the sheet is 60109GA070, package quantity 1, and can be obtained through normal parts channels. The procedure will require two sheets, one for each buffer assembly.
Installation Procedure
Use of eye protection is recommended during this procedure.
1. Remove buffer assemblies from the vehicle.
Ensure if shims are removed, care is taken to keep them with the appropriate buffer assembly. It will be necessary to re-install them during re-assembly.
2. Depress spring towards slider and remove.
3. Remover slider from buffer base plate.
4. Insert sheet into buffer base plate.
5. Apply grease on sheet, Silicolube G-30, P/N 004404002 or equivalent is recommended.
