If a condition should occur where the cheek balls on the exterior of the transmission case are leaking ATF, please follow the repair procedures listed below:
1. With the vehicle on the lift, clean off transmission case with brake cleaner. Run engine with transmission in gear to locate the leaking cheek ball.
2. Using a drift punch or pin punch (of adequate diameter), seat the check ball approximately 1 mm deeper into the hole measured from the outer surface of the case.
3. Thoroughly clean surface free of oil or dirt.
4. Apply an epoxy type metal bond (i.e., Devcon or Permatex) to the affected area filling the hole. Let dry for a minimum of 12 hours without operating the vehicle.
