Fig. 5 Exploded View Of Transmission Mounting Assembly:

Note the orientation of all parts as they are removed, so they can be properly installed. Refer to Fig. 5, when performing the following procedure.
1. Raise and support hood.
2. Disconnect ground cable from battery and transmission.
3. Disconnect the following: Oxygen sensor; transmission harness; inhibitor switch; revolution sensor; speedometer cable.
4. Remove clip band, retaining air breather hose to pitching stopper.
5. Remove starter motor attaching bolts, then starter motor.
6. Remove air intake boot.
7. Remove timing hole plug, then four torque converter attaching bolts.
8. Remove pitching stopper rod from bracket.
9. Remove right side engine to transmission attaching nut and bolt.
10. Raise and support vehicle, then remove engine to body side bracket buffer rod.
11. Install engine support bracket 927160000, to body side bracket.
12. Connect adjuster to buffer rod bracket on the engine side.
13. Install engine support 927150000, to engine support bracket.
14. Remove exhaust system as follows:
a. Raise and support vehicle.
b. Remove front exhaust pipe-to-engine retaining nuts. Leave one nut attached to temporarily support the pipe.
c. Separate front exhaust pipe from rear pipe.
d. Disconnect front exhaust pipe from transmission, by removing the hanger bolt.
e. Remove remaining exhaust pipe-to-engine retaining nut, then exhaust pipe.
15. On all models, drain transmission fluid into a suitable container, by removing oil pan drain plug.
16. On 4WD models, remove propeller shaft.
17. On all models, disconnect cable from select lever. Loosen cable-to-bracket attaching nut, then while moving inhibitor switch to the 2 position disconnect the cable.
18. Disconnect stabilizer from transverse link, by removing stabilizer plates.
19. Remove hand brake cable bracket from transverse link.
20. Remove transverse link nut and bolt, then lower transverse link.
21. Remove spring pin using a suitable tool, then separate axle shaft from driveshaft on each side by pushing rear of tire outward.
22. Remove engine-to-transmission attaching nuts.
23. Disconnect oil cooler hoses.
24. Support transmission using a suitable jack, then remove rear rubber cushion attaching nuts.
25. Remove rear crossmember.
26. Raise front of engine, by turning engine support adjuster counterclockwise, then lower transmission from vehicle.
27. Reverse procedure to install.
