SUBJECT: EVAPORATOR CASE MODIFICATION FOR INSTALLATION

Due to a design change of the blower housing a tab must be removed from some evaporator cases prior to the installation of either Zexel (Diesel Kiki) Kit P/N G3010AA010 and Calsonic Kit P/N G3010AA000.

Failure to remove this tab will result in difficulty when installing the evaporator case to the blower housing. The tab will also affect the seating between the two cases, resulting in an air gap.

Using snips, wire cutters, or suitable device, cut only the indicated portion of the tab away from evaporator case.


When installing the evaporator assembly, be sure no remaining evaporator case material interferes with the blower case and no air leaks exist.

This procedure will also be required when repairs to the A/C system require evaporator assembly or lower evaporator case replacement. If the tab is present on the service part, follow the same procedures as above for installation.

New A/C Kits Zexel P/N G3010AB000 and Calsonic P/N G3010AB010 will supersede previous Legacy kit and will incorporate the modified evaporator case. These kits will also be applicable to previous model years.
