Turbo Boost Sensor: Description and Operation

Pressure Sensor Circuit:

PURPOSE
The pressure sensor measures both atmospheric and manifold pressure. The ECU uses this information for air/fuel calibration and to control wastegate operation.

LOCATION
The sensor is located at the firewall in the engine compartment.

CONSTRUCTION
The sensor uses a silicon diaphragm to sense pressure. Inputs to the sensor are controlled by the ECU with the pressure exchange solenoid.
