Overhaul

Fig. 1 Exploded View Of Front Disc Brake Assembly:





Refer to Fig. 1 when performing the following procedure.
1. Remove caliper.
2. Remove sleeve and the lockpin boot.
3. Remove boot ring and piston boot.
4. Position a block of wood between piston bore and caliper ears, then remove piston from piston bore by gradually applying compressed air to brake fluid inlet port.
5. Remove piston seal. Use caution not to damage inner wall of cylinder.
6. Remove guide pin boot from caliper.
7. Remove retainer and lever cap, then the retaining spring and spindle.
8. Compress spring washer using puller tool No. 925471000 or equivalent, then remove lever and spindle.
9. Remove puller tool, then the connecting link and return spring.
10. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. To seat piston in piston bore, slowly rotate piston using wrench tool No. 925590000 and spacer tool No. 926440000 or equivalent. Ensure notch in piston face is aligned with tab on brake pad backing plate.
