Restraint Systems

CAUTION:
Before troubleshooting airbag system, disconnect battery ground cable, turn ignition switch "OFF" and then wait at least 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes elapse, remove instrument panel lower cover, and disconnect (AB3) and (AB8).

1. AIRBAG MAIN HARNESS INSPECTION

1) Disconnect connector (AB6) from airbag control unit , and connect it to test harness-B connector (8B).

2) Measure resistance between test harness-B connector (5B) terminals.

(5B) Terminals / Specified resistance:

No.1 - No.14 /10 k Ohms min.

2. ROLL CONNECTOR INSPECTION

1) Remove airbag module, and store it with pad side facing upward. (Refer to [WOB2].~

2) Connect connector (AB3) at harness spool to test harness-C connector (2C).

3) Measure resistance between test harness-C connector (3C) terminals.

(3C) Terminals / Specified resistance:

No.4 - No.5 /10 k Ohms min.
