REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect hydraulic unit electrical connector.
3. Disconnect air flow meter connector.
4. Remove upper and lower air cleaner cover.
5. Disconnect brake lines from unit.
6. Remove hydraulic unit noting the following:
a. Hydraulic unit cannot be disassembled. Do not attempt to loosen nuts and bolts.
b. Do not drop or bump hydraulic unit.
c. Do not turn hydraulic unit upside down or place it on is side.
d. Ensure care is taken to prevent foreign particles from getting into hydraulic unit.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque hydraulic unit attaching bolts to 17-31 ft. lbs.

INSPECTION
1. Check bracket on vehicle, then all connectors.
2. Open hydraulic unit relay box and check for open or shorted circuits, Fig. 40 and 42.
