SVX Radio Servicing

Should you need to remove the radio in an SVX for servicing, you may want to refer to the following tips:

^ Refer to the attached installation instructions (ATTACHMENT 2) issued by Matsushita. Most installers have commented that these installation instructions are more helpful than the procedure found in the Service Manual.

^ It is highly recommended to protect the opening area from scratches by using tape or rags.

^ Be especially wary of the two tabs which protrude from the top of the radio housing. These tabs contribute little to locating or retaining the assembly, but can be a real nuisance when servicing. Several installers have reported radio door and overall alignment are easier to obtain when these tabs are removed.
