APPLICABILITY: ALL SUBARU MODELS

SUBJECT: DOOR FABRIC PEELING OFF


If you receive a customer complaint of the fabric trim peeling away from the door panel, do not replace the door panel. Follow the instructions below to repair the door panel.

NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL FROM THE VEHICLE.

MATERIALS NEEDED

Disposable latex gloves or equivalent. Cyanoacrylate glue, examples: 3M Part No. 051135-08155 "Quick Fix Adhesive".

NOTE: THE GLUE MUST BE ABLE TO BOND PLASTIC TO PLASTIC FIBER.

1. Carefully pull back the fabric trim only in the area peeling away. Do not remove the whole trim piece.

2. Apply the glue to the back of the fabric trim.

3. Apply pressure to hold the fabric trim in place for a minimum of five minutes.

This procedure can be claimed for vehicles within the terms of the Subaru Limited Warranty and using the following:
