When rebuilding a 3-speed automatic transmission differential, it is necessary to set the pinion shaft preload. You need the pinion selecting gauge set, SOA626716, to approximate pinion preload/depth. The lead crush washers that are used with this tool can be ordered under part number J25269-24, quantity 5.
