Rear Luggage Area - Cover Will Not Stay Engaged

REAR LUGGAGE AREA COVER
If you encounter a complaint that the rear luggage area cover does not stay engaged into the side shelf locators when the cover is extended, a simple fix can be accomplished using self tapping screws and flat washers.
1. Open the rear gate and release the cover.
2. Install a self tapping screw into the side shelf wall as shown. Install one on each side. The head of the screw acts as a spacer to reduce the side to side clearance.
3. Extend the cover and engage it into the locators. Shift the cover from side to side in the locators. If the cover still disengages from the locators, it is necessary to add a flat washer under either one or both of the screws until the clearance is reduced to the point where the cover stays engaged.
