Legacy Torque Converter Bolt Removal

When stubborn torque converter bolts are being removed, some technicians have been holding the crankshaft pulley bolt. This procedure may result in the loosening of the crankshaft pulley bolt which may go unnoticed during reassembly. If you use this procedure, be sure to check and retorque the crank pulley bolt on reassembly. If left loose, the pulley may come off of the crankshaft and cause damage to belts, radiator, etc. Anytime you use the crank pulley bolt for engine rotation, check it. Remember the engine should only be turned in one direction, the direction of rotation.
