ABS 2E System





Troubleshooting Chart with Trouble Code








TROUBLE CODE (None) - Trouble in warning light drive circuit

1. CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT POWER SUPPLY.
1) Turn ignition switch OFF.
2) Disconnect combination meter.
3) Check ABS warning light valve.
4) Turn ignition switch ON.








5) Measure voltage between combination meter connector and body.

2. CHECK INPUT VOLTAGE OF ABS CONTROL UNIT AND HYDRAULIC UNIT FROM ABS WARNING LIGHT.
1) Turn ignition switch OFF.
2) Connect combination meter.
3) Disconnect connector from ABS control unit and hydraulic unit.
4) Turn ignition switch ON.
5) Measure voltage between ABS control unit and ground.





6) Measure voltage between hydraulic unit and body.

3. CHECK GROUND LINE OF ABS CONTROL UNIT AND HYDRAULIC UNIT.
1) Measure resistance ABS control unit and ground.





2) Measure resistance hydraulic unit and body.

4. CHECK VALVE RELAY.
1) Remove valve relay.





2) Attach circuit tester probes to terminals, as shown above.





3) Measure resistance between respective terminals.




Without Air Bag:




With Air Bag:





TROUBLE CODE (None) (Unusual code) - Trouble in warning light drive circuit

1. CHECK INPUT VOLTAGE TO ABS CONTROL UNIT FROM ABS WARNING LIGHT.
1) Turn ignition switch OFF.
2) Disconnect connector from ABS control unit.
3) Turn ignition switch ON.








4) Measure voltage between ABS control unit connector and body.

2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY TO ABS CONTROL UNIT.
1) Turn ignition switch ON.





2) Measure voltage between ABS control unit connector and body.

3. CHECK ABS CONTROL UNIT GROUND LINE.





1) Measure resistance between ABS control unit and body.
