1. Measure dimension "L", with 154 lbs. of download pressure placed on ball joint in the direction of "L", Fig. 2.

2. Measure dimension "L", with 154 lbs. of upload pressure placed on ball joint in the direction of "L", Fig. 3.
3. Calculate ball joint play using the following formula:
a. S=L2-L1
b. Ball joint play "S" equals 0.012 inch.
c. Ball joint play should not exceed 0.012 inch.
d. If ball joint play exceeds calculated figure, then replace with new ball joint.
