Repair Method 1

1. Lower the door glass, remove the inner door trim panel, and peel back the sealing cover.

2. Raise the door glass to approximately four inches from its lowest position.





3. Loosen the four mounting bolts securing the regulator by one turn, as shown in figure "A". (Do not remove the bolts completely).

4. Holding the main arm of the regulator and door glass, lift up the door glass by using the existing freeplay of the regulator mounting holes. (Usually, there is freeplay of 2 to 3 mm).

5. Tighten the four mounting bolts of the regulator while holding the door glass in its upward most position.

6. Operate the door glass to confirm that the "CLUNK" noise has been eliminated.

7. Ensure the tilt position of the door glass is correctly adjusted. If necessary, adjust the door glass as described in the Service Manual.

NOTE:
In the unlikely event the noise cannot be eliminated by using the above adjustment method, please follow the additional repair procedure below:
