Air Injection: Description and Operation

PAIR System:

The secondary air induction system leads air from the air cleaner directly into the exhaust so as to promote complete combustion of the exhaust gas in the front catalyst, lowering hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO). The system consists of the following components:
^ Air suction valve
^ Silencer
^ Air suction valve control solenoid
^ Check valve
