Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Connector:

RELEASE FUEL PRESSURE
1. Remove rear seat and turn up carpet.
2. Disconnect fuel pump/sender electrical connector.
3. Start the engine and run it until it stalls.
4. After the engine stalls, crank it for five (5) more seconds.
5. Turn the key "OFF".
6. Reconnect the electrical connector.
7. Reinstall the carpet and rear seat.

Injector Fasteners:

REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR
1. Disconnect fuel injector electrical connector.
2. Remove fuel injector fasteners and remove injector.
3. Install in reverse order.

Fastener torque: 2.1 - 2.9 Nm (1.5 - 2.5 ft lbs)

2. O-Ring A
3. Fuel injector
4. Insulator
5. Fuel injector cup
