Fuel Pump: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
Provides pressurized fuel to the MPI system. The fuel pump consists of a motor, a vane roller pump, a fuel damper, and a check valve to prevent pressure bleed-off when the engine is off. The fuel pump shares its mounting cage with the fuel gauge sending unit.
