Airbag Connectors

The air bag control unit uses a connector with double lock and coupling error detection mechanisms. If coupling is incomplete, the air bag warning lamp will light.
1. To disconnect the air bag control unit connector, proceed as follows:

a. Press wire one of the control unit as shown in Fig. 12, until green lever two tilts upward. This unlocks the double lock. Pull off connector while pressing connector lock.
2. To connect the air bag control unit connector, proceed as follows:
a. Insert connector until a click is heard, then push in green lever to apply the double lock.

3. To disconnect connector between harnesses, proceed as follows:
a. Press lever one, Fig. 13, to pop green lever two out. This unlocks the double lock system. Separate the connector by pulling both sides while holding connector sections and pressing in lever one.
4. To connect the connector between harnesses, proceed as follows:
a. Insert both connectors until a click is heard, then push in green lever until it clicks.
