Turn ignition switch on, then ground check-connector terminals, and check solenoid valve for operation. Each time solenoid activates, system circuit is interrupted. To check again, first turn ignition switch off then on.
1. Proceed as follows:
a. If trouble code 1 is present, connect jumper wire between terminal 2 of check connector and ground. Listen for operation.
b. If trouble code 2 is present, connect jumper wire between terminal 11 of check connector and ground. Listen for operation.
c. If trouble code 3 is present, connect jumper wire between terminal 12 of check connector and ground. Listen for operation.
d. If trouble code 4 is present, connect jumper wire between terminal 3 of check connector and ground. Listen for operation.
2. Turn ignition switch to on position.
3. If trouble code 1 is present, measure voltage between control unit connector terminal 2 and ground. Voltage should be 0 volt with solenoid in operation.
4. If trouble code 2 is present, measure voltage between control unit connector terminal 35 and ground. Voltage should be 0 volt with solenoid in operation.
5. If trouble code 3 is present, measure voltage between control unit connector terminal 19 and ground. Voltage should be 0 volt with solenoid in operation.
6r. If trouble code 4 is present, measure voltage between control unit connector terminal 18 and ground. Voltage should be 0 volt with solenoid in operation.
