ABS/TCS Warn. Light Does Not Go Off (TCS Op. Lights Work Fine)

1. Check brake fluid level. Ensure brake fluid level is above the MIN indication on the reservoir tank.
2. Check brake fluid level sensor as follows:
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.





b) Disconnect connector from brake fluid level sensor, then measure resistance between connector (B16) terminals 1 and 2.
^ Leaving float where it is, resistance should be 0 ohms.
^ Pushing float down, resistance should be 1 M ohm.
3. Check harness connector between ABS/Traction Control System (TCS) control module and alternator as follows:
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.
b) Connect connector from brake fluid level sensor.
c) Disconnect connector from ABS/TCS control module.





d) Measure resistance between ABS/TCS control module connector (P7) terminal 20 and body. Resistance should be 0 ohms.
e) Start the engine.
f) Measure resistance between ABS/TCS control module connector (P7) terminal 20 and body. Resistance should be 1 M ohm.
