Control Valve and Oil Pan






1. Install four accumulators with oil pans facing upward.

CAUTION: Be careful not to confuse the springs and installation Positions.

Accumulator spring 1-2
Outer diameter: 28.5 mm (1.122 inch)
Free length: 44.5 mm (1.752 inch)
Accumulator spring 2-3
Outer diameter: 20.5 mm (0.807 inch)
Free length: 31.0 mm (1.220 inch)
Accumulator spring 3-4
Outer diameter: 17.3 mm (0.681 inch)
Free length: 43.7 mm (1.720 inch)
Accumulator spring N-D
Outer diameter: 17.8 mm (0.701 inch)
Free length: 36.5 mm (1.437 inch)

2. Install and route the transmission harness. Be careful not to damage the harness.
3. Install the control valve assembly.
(1) Set the selector lever in range "2".





(2) Install the control valve by engaging the manual valve and manual lever, then tighten the 19 bolts to 7-9 Nm (61-78 in.lb)
a. Be careful not to pinch the harness roll the gasket.
b. Tighten the control valve mounting bolts evenly.





4. Install the oil strainer to the control valve. Be careful not to cut or break the O-ring. Then tighten bolts to 7-9 Nm (61-78 in.lb)





5. Secure five connectors.
6. Install the oil cooler outlet pipe, and secure with two bolts.
Tightening torque: 7-9 Nm (61-78 in.lb)

CAUTION: Fit the pipe into position. Be careful to avoid twisting.





7. Install the oil pan.
(1) Attach the magnet at the specified position.
Tightening torque: 3.4-4.4 Nm (30-40 in.lb)
Tighten the bolts evenly.
