SUBJECT
Adjustable Driver's Side Defroster Grill

If you encounter a customer who wants to enhance the defroster performance at the edge of the driver's side windshield, please advise the customer that an optional adjustable defroster outlet is available through normal parts channels. If the customer chooses to purchase this part, proceed as follows:

Before installation:

1. Explain the instructions that are included with the part to the customer.

2. Place the instruction sheet in the customer's Owner Manual.

3. DO NOT USE THIS PART FOR THE PASSENGER'S SIDE.

This vent is for the DRIVER'S SIDE ONLY.

Installation:

DO NOT attempt to pry the vent from the dash; damage to the dash padding could result.

Lift the defroster grille upward with your fingers. At the same time, twist the grille side to side while still lifting upward.

Install the new grille making sure that the opening fits into the vehicle's duct work correctly. Check to make sure that the defroster vent operates correctly.
