HOW TO READ TROUBLE CODE OF INDICATOR LIGHT

The AT OIL TEMP indicator light flashes the code corresponding to the faulty part.
The long segment (1.2 sec on) indicates a "ten". and the short segment (0.2 sec on) signifies a "one".





TO EXTRACT CODES:

1. Warm up the engine.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Check if the indicator light comes on.
- YES: Go to step 5
- NO: Repair faulty indicator circuit.
5. Drive vehicle at speeds greater than 20 km/h (12 MPH).
6. Stop vehicle, turn ignition switch OFF.
7. Turn ignition switch ON.
8. Move selector lever to 1 position
9. Turn ignition switch OFF.
10 Turn ignition switch ON.
11. Move select lever to 2 position.
12. Move selector lever to 1 position
13. Move select lever to 2 position.
14. Move select lever to 3 position.
15. Move select lever to D position.
16. Ensure that indicator light blinks.
a. Indicator light blinks at 4-Hz intervals (every 0.125 <1/8> second until ignition switch is turned OFF.
- Faulty battery.
b. Indicator light blinks at 2-Hz intervals (Blinks every 0.25 <1/4> seconds (until ignition switch is turned OFF).
- Normal
c. Trouble code is outputted.
- Check problem corresponding with trouble code.
d. Indicator light remains illuminated.
- Check inhibitor switch, wiring, TCM, etc.
