55 - Side Airbag Module Is Inflated

DIAGNOSIS: Side airbag module is inflated.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnostics on airbag system, turn ignition switch "OFF", disconnect battery ground cable and then wait at least 20 seconds.

5U1: CHECK IF TROUBLE CODE 55 IS INDICATED.
Confirm flashing trouble code according to "BASIC DIAGNOSTICS PROCEDURE".

CHECK: Is airbag warning light trouble code 55 indicated?

YES: Replace front seat with side airbag module (Operating side), side airbag sensor (Operating side) and airbag control module.

NO: Perform clear memory.
