DTC P0111 - INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE PROBLEM

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
- Immediately at fault recognition

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
- Erroneous idling
- Poor driving performance

CAUTION: After repair or replacement of faulty parts, conduct CLEAR MEMORY MODE and INSPECTION MODE. Refer to How To Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

11E1: CHECK ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.

CHECK: Does the Subaru Select Monitor or OBD-II general scan tool indicate DTC P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117 or P0125?

YES: Inspect DTC P0112, P0113, P0116, P0117 or P0125 using "11. Diagnostics Chart with Trouble Code for AT Vehicles".

NOTE: In this case, it is not necessary to inspect DTC P0111.

NO: Go to step 11E2.

11E2:CHECK ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE.

1. Start the engine and warm it up completely.
2 .Measure engine coolant temperature using Subaru Select Monitor or OBD-II general scan tool.

NOTE:
- Subaru Select Monitor
For detailed operation procedure, refer to the "READ CURRENT DATA SHOWN ON DISPLAY FOR ENGINE". Refer to Normal Scan Data Values.
- OBD-II general scan tool
For detailed operation procedures, refer to the OBD-II General Scan Tool Instruction Manual.

CHECK: Is the engine coolant temperature between 75 °C (167 °F) and 95 °C (203 °F)?

YES: Replace intake air temperature and pressure sensor.

NO: Inspect DTC P0125 using "11.Diagnostics Chart with Trouble Code for AT Vehicles".
