TITLE: Transmission Popping Out of 3rd Gear

SERVICE TIP:

If you are rebuilding a WRX 5M/T and during the rebuild, it is necessary to replace the 3-4 gear set, we suggest you consult Part Bulletin PT070302. Subaru has gotten a few calls where the transmission was popping out of 3rd gear after replacing the 3-4 gear set. Installation of the new part set mentioned in the above bulletin should prevent this problem from happening.
