Neutral Position Switch

NOTE: The content of this article/image reflects the changes called out by TSB 18-88-05.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the manual transmission assembly from vehicle.





2. Disconnect the neutral position switch connector and clip.





3. Remove the neutral position switch.

INSTALLATION





1. Install the neutral position switch.
Tightening torque: 32 Nm (3.3 kgf-cm, 23.6 ft. lbs.)





2. Connect the neutral position switch connector and clip.
3. Install the manual transmission assembly to vehicle.

INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Remove the intercooler.





3. Disconnect the transmission harness and chassis harness.








4. Measure the resistance between neutral position switch terminals. If it is not within specifications, replace the neutral position switch.
