DTC P1160 - RETURN SPRING FAILURE

OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS
Judge NG when the valve does not move to the close direction with the motor power stopped and the valve open more than the default opening.




COMPONENT DESCRIPTION




ENABLE CONDITION

GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE
- Ignition switch ON -> OFF
- Ignition switch OFF -> ON (After clear memory only)

DIAGNOSTIC METHOD




Judge OK and clear the NG when the malfunction criteria are completed.

DTC CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK idling cycle was completed 40 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed (Only engine stop)

MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK driving cycle was completed 3 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed (Only engine stop)

FAIL SAFE
Fix the throttle opening to 6 °.

ECM OPERATION AT DTC SETTING
- Memorize the freeze frame data. (For test mode $02)
- Memorize the diagnostic value and trouble standard value. (For test mode $06)
