SPECIFICATIONS
Cylinder Head
Use new cylinder head gaskets.
Tighten all bolts 29 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 22 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts 69 Nm (7.0 kgf-m, 51 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence again.
Back off all bolts by 180° first; back them off by 180° again in reverse order of installation.
Tighten all bolts 49 Nm (5.0 kgf-m, 36 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts 80 to 90° in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts by 40 to 45° in alphabetical sequence again.
CAUTION: Do not tighten the bolts by more than 45°.
Further tighten all bolts (A) and (B) by 40 to 45°.
CAUTION: Ensure that the total "re-tightening angle" in the previous two steps do not exceed 90°.
Camshaft Bearing Cap
Gradually tighten the camshaft cap and oil control valve assembly in at least two stages in alphabetical sequence shown in the figure
Crankshaft Pulley
Tightening torque 180 Nm (18.3 kgf-m, 132.7 ft.lbs.)
Connecting Rod Bearing Cap
Tightening torque 52 Nm (5.3 kgf-m, 38.4 ft. lbs.)
Oil Pump
Tightening torque 6.4 Nm (0.65 kgf-m, 4.7 ft. lbs.)
Water Pump
Flywheel or Drive Plate
Tightening torque 72 Nm (7.3 kgf-m, 52.8 ft. lbs.)
Exhaust Manifold
T1 35 Nm (3.6 kgf-m, 26.0 ft. lbs.)
T2 40 Nm (4.0 kgf-m, 28.9 ft. lbs.)
