DTC P0030 HO2S HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT (BANK 1 SENSOR 1)

1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS
Detect the malfunction of front oxygen (A/F) sensor heater.
Judge NG when impedance of front oxygen (A/F) sensor is larger than the standard value by referring to the engine condition such as fuel shut-off in deceleration, etc.

3. ENABLE CONDITION

4. GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE
Perform diagnosis continuously in 30 seconds after starting engine.




5. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD
Judge NG when the continuous time of completing the malfunction criteria becomes more than the time needed for diagnosis (10 seconds). Judge OK and clear NG when the continuous time of not completing the malfunction criteria becomes more than the time needed for diagnosis (10 seconds).

6. DTC CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK idling cycle was completed 40 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

7. MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK driving cycle was completed 3 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

8. FAIL SAFE
- Front oxygen (A/F) sensor main learning correction: Not allowed to calculate
- Rear oxygen (A/F) sensor sub learning correction: Not allowed to calculate
- Correction when re-starting at high temperature: Normally minimum value 0.06 -> 0
- Purge control: Not allowed to purge

9. ECM OPERATION AT DTC SETTING
Memorize the freeze frame data. (For test mode $02)
