B9 TRIBECA FALSE ALARM ACTIVATION





In the event you receive a customer complaint on B9 Tribeca models stating "the vehicle alarm system goes into full alarm once the system completes the arming process inspect the I-3 connector for a possible "pin-out" condition. The I-3 connector is a 20 pole connector which connects to the B-38 connector, located in the B-5 area of the Tribeca electrical grid. It has been determined that during the harness manufacturing process one or more of the pins in the I-3 connector may not be fully seated into the connector. If a "pin-out" condition cannot be confirmed as the root cause, check the programming of the impact sensor with the select monitor to ensure the correct settings are present in the BIU.
